The Good Turn for America / Habitat for Humanity house project is now getting underway. Buffalo Trace Council will be building a new house for a Habitat Partner Family in the newly opened New Haven Subdivision.
The build will be staffed by Boy Scouts and Venturers, 16 years and older, as well as parents and adult leaders. The house will be built over eight Saturdays beginning March 1. Work hours will be 7:00-11:00am and 12:00-3:00pm.
Time spent either working on the house or providing lunches and refreshments will be given service hours towards advancement and for the Good Turn for America Program. This will be a great opportunity for our council to participate in this worthwhile project.
If you are able to volunteer, please go to evansvillehabitat.org, then to the section marked Volunteer Now and follow the instructions to sign up for a day. The build is labeled Lot 36 – Boy Scout Build.
